A Song in Black
As I die again I am born in light -
A soul dissonant and manifold,
I build in the day, restless and bold,
I destroy merciless in the night.
If I summon days of humble and light,
Thunders burst upon dark surge,
And if I seek storm by my side,
Every wail, every moan submerge.
I yearn for a firestream dawn,
However blinding its rays may be,
In spring autumnly I wither and yawn,
In autumn blooming come see me.
In the infinity of the dispassionate time today
Is a life unlived silently fading away,
For a haven my tears are dying,
While across a desert so great flying.
